Ingredients

  • 1 cup semiya(vermicelli)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the vermicelli till golden brown. Keep it aside.
  2. Take a pan. Boil the water in it.
  3. Add the roasted vermicelli into it and let it cook.
  4. Once it is soft, add sugar and cardamom powder.
  5. Keep stirring till it is mixed well and starts to thicken.
  6. Add ghee.
  7. Once the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan, remove from heat.
  8. Serve hot or cold as per taste.

Notes

  • A delicious and quick sweet.
  • You can reduce the quantity of water if you like the vermicelli a little tough.
